Digital & Fabric Media....in the art gallery

Hiroko Kanazawa Student artist Hiroko Kanazawa will be exhibiting his work during Oct. 2-10. There will be a gallery reception on Oct. 9. Kanazawa's primary medium is digital media, but also employs painting and 3D works. A fine arts major, Kanawaza tries to convey messages of internal expression and ideas against nature through his works.

Stage hypnosis is used to persuade an audience to perform extraordinary public exploits. A hypnosis show was demonstrated for a group of students last week. Full-time minister and part-time hypnotist Dale Jenkins presents about 20 shows a year. Usually these shows are presented at Christian camps, retreats and youth rallies, but UNA's Christian Student Center invited him to join the students here for a performance on Sept.

Flamingos flock local businesses for charity

Home Instead Senior Care is raising money for Alzheimer's disease research in an unusual way. They "flock" businesses, covering their lawns in a horde of pink flamingos. When the business donates money to Home Instead's fund, they get to pick the next business that will get flocked.
